Founded in 1958, the MC Robur Zittau e.V. association is still one of the oldest motor sports associations in the ADMV e.V. (General German Motor Sports Federation). Since its beginnings, the association has focused on motorcycling activities. In Großschönau, the Motorcycle Veterans and Technology Museum awaits its guests. The museum gives insights into the different stages from the walking bike to the motorcycle. Along with vehicles of past times, historic steam engines and other exhibits are shown. In addition, we strive to maintain the motor sports tradition of our region. We, therefore, offered “Bildersuchfahrten“ - races to find pictures of a landscape -, motocross events as well as motoball games and activities to improve bike skills during our foundation time. Thanks to our activities in road racing, the Lückendorf mountain races were revived in the time between 1961 and 1970 and again since 2000, under the conditions of vintage racing.
The “Historik Mobil” has been a joint event with the Zittau narrow gauge festival in the past years. In August each year, around 20,000 visitors attend this fantastic festival held on the Zittau narrow gauge railway line and the Lückendorf mountain, with over 300 classic cars participating in the race.
