Since 1890, trains carrying many excursionists have arrived at Kurort Jonsdorf station, located in the heart of the Zittau Mountains Nature Preserve. In 1913, the spacious station building was built due to the high visitor numbers at the idyllic climatic health-resort. After thorough modernisation, the station has been used as the “Zum Bahnel” bed and breakfast since 2004. All rooms at the family-run non-smoking bed and breakfast are lovingly furnished in historic style. In the restaurant (20 seats), you can discover several rarities of the narrow-gauge railway and enjoy a hearty country-style dinner. Guests can watch the steam train directly from the windows of our one- to three-bed rooms; in addition, we offer one holiday apartment. Come and explore the Zittau Mountains offering many exciting activities. Great steam train atmosphere is guaranteed during our special arrangement, the “Dampfzauberwochen“ (“weeks of steam magic“).
