Certifications - Görlitzer Oldtimer Parkeisenbahn (Vintage Park Railway)
The “Adler” is not Germany's first locomotive running in Görlitz but a replica of the locomotive that ran between Nuremberg and Fürth. In 1976, the replica started running on 600 mm (1 ft 11 5⁄8 in) narrow gauge tracks through the Görlitz leisure park next to the Landskron Brau-Manufaktur brewery. Operated in Germany's easternmost town, the railway was the 11th park railway of East Germany. The locomotive, the so-called “Adler”, as well as the passenger cars are a replica of the original train from Nuremberg. We thus invite you to enjoy this wonderful blend of a vintage park railway and a lush park landscape, right next to the magnificently restored Old Town of Görlitz.
