Railway in an Umgebindehaus (timber-framed house) …
It all began with a large private collection owned by the Frey family from the town of Seifhennersdorf. Some years ago, this collection was made available to the public in an Upper Lusatian Umgebindehaus. Among the unique exhibits are pieces from past times of the local train station, a tin toy collection and a model railway layout lovingly designed according to models of the nearby Zittau narrow gauge railway. Meanwhile Wolfgang Frey produces batches of mainly Saxon models in 1:22.5 scale in design size II, IIm and IIe. The Saxon I K No. 54, which will soon be complimented by a model of the Zittau VT 137 322, is well known among garden railroaders.
