In the small village of Schmalzgrube, which is named after an old stamp mill and cabin from the 16th century, you will find the Forellenhof Restaurant. It is located right next to a station of the Preßnitz Valley Railway. Guests can rest here and enjoy specialties such as freshly caught trout, game from the local forests or homemade cakes, tarts and delicious ice cream creations.
Following refreshments, a variety of hiking and cycling trails are available, e.g. to an old smelting furnace, to the Kammweg, to the Hirtstein or along the Preßnitz Valley. Up to 60 people can be hosted in the two dining rooms. Additional seating is available outside in summer. The Forellenhof team looks forward to your visit.
