The commune of Muldenhammer is nestled in the midst of the Ore Mountains/Vogtland Nature Park, near the border with the Czech Republic. A wide range of tourist offers, such as the German Space Travel Exhibition in Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz, the district of Schneckenstein with the visitor mine “Grube Tannenberg“ and the only topaz mountain in Europe as well as the International Sled Dog Race in Hammerbrücke, attract around 150 thousand visitors to Muldenhammer each year.
